SEMINOLE PATCHWORK

I don't have a lot of books on this subject, but I do have a lot of magazine articles. It was very popular back in the 1980s. The Seminole Indians are an American tribe based in Florida, and developed a very colorful and distinctive style of strip piecing used primarily for clothing back in the late 1800s. It is visually distinctive and displays an artistic sophistication I admire(and envy) greatly - wish I had their sense of style. I wear a lot of black so that I don't have to try to coordinate colors while I'm half asleep, which is always when I am getting dressed.
