ESTHER LEE FOSTERMrs. Foster was a multitalented artist who also designed jewelry, did ceramics and copper enameling, macrame, needlepoint design, and stained glass. It's her soft sculpture doll and animal patterns that are the focus of this page. She provided very clear instructions with plenty of photos and diagrams, and her patterns are superb. If you are interested in trying your hand at soft sculpture, I don't think you can go wrong hunting down some of Mrs. Foster's books on the used market - just make sure the pull-out pattern sheets are still intact before purchasing. Book sellers often won't realize they are missing unless you ask. |
