SUMMARY- This was another popular line of soft sculpture doll patterns that are contemporaries of the famous Cabbage Patch Kids. Xavier Roberts was the leading edge of this craze, his copyright being registered in 1978, and the plastic-headed CPKs that emulated them created a tremendous hunger for patterns that launched several successful, if relatively brief, careers in soft sculpture pattern books. I remember desperate parents trying to find these dolls in department stores for Christmas - supply was not able to keep up with demand. If you were crafty, though, you had options, and Esther's pattern booklets were one of the better ones.
Instructions are clear and have lots of photos and diagrams to help you get through the process. Her patterns are very well professionally marked - I don't think there are better on the used market. These patterns are for 26" ragdolls.
