SUMMARY- You get great photos large enough to see details, and simple enough patterns for beginners to get the hang of needle tatting. There is a basic lesson at the beginning, and a handful of joins tutorials and that's all you need to create these articles. She does not give diagrams, and her patterns, while well broken down and in large enough type even I can read them without squinting, they are in old-school written notation. So if you are a modern tatter who has only dealt with symbolic notation and supporting diagrams, here's your chance to try it old school with easy patterns to follow. As someone who has had custom shuttles made to accomodate cords like rattail, I couldn't help smiling as I read the book and perused the patterns. Finding patterns for clothing made of tatting is relatively rare. I'm really happy to have added Ms. Yoshikawa's book to my tatting library.
ps- she gives you contact information in case you have questions, a sign of classiness and confidence I always approve.
