SUMMARY- I'm a huge fan of Ms. Weidmann's farm animal motifs, which convinced me to get this collection as well. This was her first book, and in some ways it shows. I think she has grown as a designer since this first book. There is a nice variety of patterns here, but nothing that really grabbed me. She has well broken down instructions in symbolic notation - but no diagrams in this one. Photos are black-and-white and on good quality paper so they can be studied for detail. Despite my tepid response to this book, I believe Ms. Weidmann is a top drawer designer, and I really look forward to all future books she publishes.
