SUMMARY- The snowflakes are interesting and fairly small, employing lots and lots of decorative picots. The instructions aren't broken down - but the patterns aren't that large or complicated either, so getting lost isn't as big an issue. Most are two-round patterns with a couple being three-round. I got this book too late to be part of the snowflake-making flurry this past December - but I'll probably make several of these for Next December's flurry(written Feb. 2012)!
She uses written notation - which new tatters will need to learn if they wish to use any vintage patterns at all. This is a painless way to do so! All of her patterns are small for quick rewards - and inexpensive to buy to give away to new students looking for patterns to practice their new skills with.
