SUMMARY- I think I could follow her basic instructions and make a correct knot(stitch). She gives a lot of one-shuttle patterns(hence the name of the book) as practice pieces, using a lot of bead work to cover bare threads in place of chains. Instructions are in old-school written notation, with hand-drawn diagrams further along as the patterns become more sophisticated. You'd be surprised how many attractive pieces you can get out of a one-shuttle method. I was extremely pleased to add this one to my library. If you are new to tatting and are crazy about beads, this one is definitely a must-have. Experienced tatters will find patterns to enjoy too.
