SUMMARY- These patterns appear to be reproductions of antique or vintage patterns. The instructions are in several different styles of notation, so the author didn't update the patterns to an unified and modern notation. Nor did the author give legends for any of the notation styles used. So if you don't already know what you are doing, this book won't help you. She(or he) did tat samples of each pattern for photographing, so you get a nice clean photo of each, as well as a line-up of all of them in color on the back cover. There doesn't appear to be any particular organization to them, or why she(or he) named them what she(or he) did. The author didn't cite sources of the patterns, which further annoys me - but your mileage may vary. There are some pretty designs collected here, as well as a few "beginner" edgings.
