Title: Tatted Christmas Balls
SUMMARY- You get fifteen(15) different beautiful designs for covering glass Christmas ball ornaments! She sticks with traditional written notation - no diagrams. She breaks instructions down very well and makes the print large enough so they are very easy to follow. Full color pictures of the samples are protected by the laminated covers, which I liked very much - I didn't have to bag this book like I do most to protect the cover art. There's no picture sample with the actual instructions so you may have to do a bit of flipping - but they're on the covers and not sandwiched in the middle of the book so I consider that very minor. They're really lovely! She has designed them so that they will draw up around the top with a bit of thread - you don't have to tat them onto the ball. If the cat knocks one off the tree onto the hardwood floor, you can just put the tatting on a new ball by snipping the thread and replacing it over the new ball. I love doing Christmas ornaments, and am always looking for new patterns to try. This collection will definitely get a workout this year. |
