SUMMARY- This is a gorgeous collection of Christmas Bell ornament covers. I am grateful to Patricia Cobb who generously loaned it to me so I could review it for the Bib(Thank you!!!). Most of the patterns have diagrams, and the instructions are well broken down and easy to read using symbolic notation with notes in English. You get a full-color photo of each sample. Did I mention how gorgeous they are? There is some beading, but she uses them sparingly to accent the design, not overwhelm it. Her bells use traditional tatting in sophisticated designs - meaning you could make these and your family will think you're a genius. This book is out of print now, so if you happen to run across a copy, grab it quick. If you run across two, grab one for me and I'll reimburse you.

My only quibble - Terry didn't state the dimensions of the bell ornaments. I've run across this problem with other ornament cover books, which is why I went looking for the measurements. Fortunately, Patricia also bought the ornaments when she bought the book, and was able to take measurements for us. You'll need bell ornaments Height: 2 1/2", Base Diameter: 2"(Thank you, Patricia!).

Ms. McGuffin had a website at www.terrythetatter.com but it appears to have transformed into someone else's travelog. There is an email address for someone selling the ornaments she used, but I do not know if it is still viable. Terry E McGuffin was born Nov. 19, 1935, and passed away Jan. 26, 2015. May her tatting be remembered and treasured by us all.
