SUMMARY- Tatting instructions are in Japanese, but the patterns are also written in a symbolic hybrid notation with English lettering, as well as providing clear diagrams - she left nothing to chance. There are some picture tutorials for the techniques she uses in the book, but they are written in Japanese, so I couldn't always get what she was trying to relay. You get a picture gallery of the work in the first half of the book, and the patterns in the last half, with a smaller picture of the sample for reference. Other than the gorgeous butterfly on the cover, you get a variety of paisley-like leaf forms and flowers, a heart, and rosettes and block tatting for 3D forms.
