SUMMARY- The Table of Contents is in both Japanese and English, so I was able to include it. I have one other of Mr. Shokoin's books written 10 years before this one. The names he gives his patterns are symbolic - they aren't representational motifs of angels and such. Most of the patterns are for doilies, with some jewelry and edgings. Instructions are in Japanese, but diagrams are included.
