SUMMARY- My summary of the table of contents is a little misleading. Some of the photo gallery have more than one necklace in them, but I only counted up the pictures - so there are actually a few more patterns in this book than what I described in the Table of Contents. The photography is luscious - hiding the fact that this is not this designer's "A" work. There are a few designs here I found mildly interesting, but nothing that really grabbed me. Considering the brilliance of her other books, I was really disappointed with this one. Written instructions are in Japanese, but there are diagrams of all the patterns with Roman numbers so they can be read by most people. I'm always suspicious of a book that has lavish props and backgrounds for their projects. It usually means the projects weren't strong enough to stand on their own. I felt that was the case with this book. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

The author for this one has been confusing for me - the Kanji for "Teiko" and "Sadako" are almost identical, and since it was nothing like Ms. Fujito's other work, I accepted the alternate translation when it came up as "Sadako". My apologies for having this entered incorrectly for several years! Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. Thanks to Becky Clark for setting me straight. :)
