SUMMARY- The designer prefers the nickname Lilas, rather than her given name. The patterns are mostly jewelry with a few doilies for larger projects. She likes to play with a wide variety of design elements, including beads, cluny, and Turkish petals! She is generous with color illustrations and includes the new hot thing - codes you can scan with your phone to bring up a tutorial video. I've only seen this in one other book so far, but I'm betting it becomes very popular. Lilas is on the leading edge of this. I'm looking forward to seeing what she does next. There are 26 patterns in this book, all of them attractive. She gives color-coded diagrams backed up with written notation in both French and English. I really don't think you can get better than this for making your book internationally accessible. This is not a book for beginners, despite the obligatory lesson at the beginning, but it is certainly a set of patterns to aspire to. Instructional videos to support the written lessons are a huge help. I'm happy to have added it to the collection!
