Title: Bridal Tatting
Author/Designer: Alice Heim
Format/Publication Date: TPB:1992
Publisher: The DMC Corporation, S. Kearny, NJ
Page Count: 22
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 11" x 8 1/2"
ISBN: None
SUMMARY- The patterns use only basic rings and chains with fairly good black-and-white photos of each sample. Instructions are in symbolic notation(very easy to read) and broken down by round, not element by element. That isn't ideal, but the patterns are simple so I really don't think it's a problem. If you like traditional patterns and are in a (relative)hurry, this is a solid book of pieces that go together in theme and will work up fairly quickly. I was pleased to add this book to my collection.
Alice E Heim also published some magazine articles:
"Button Covers, Earrings, Hankie Edging"Old Time Crochet(Tower Press),Winter 1994,
"Mistletoe Ball, Hankie Edging"Old Time Crochet(Tower Press),Autumn 1995,
"Basket, Parasol Ornament"Old Time Crochet(Tower Press),Winter 1994,
Rebecca Hollenbaugh told Doretha Albee in a letter that she also published patterns in Workbasket Magazine in the late 1980s(Tatting Knots & Notes(Nov. 1991))
