SUMMARY- I love the tatted horseshoe - it comes from a very old tradition of nailing a horseshoe up over a new domicile's door to catch good luck and happiness for the newly wedded. Nailing a car tire up over the door just wouldn't be the same, so the custom has fallen out of use. Here's a great way to make it work again! Instructions are in written notation. Photos are not very clear for the most part, but the patterns are simple and quick to work up. The most advanced technique used is split ring - and that one gets used quite a bit. My big peeve with this book is a lack of copyright date, and no contact information so I have no idea where this was published or when. I've tentatively dated it from the '80's, but I can't say for certain.
