SUMMARY- Ms. Foster has reproduced several key books that had become scarce. She is an expert in the history of the field, and a pioneer in the art of needle tatting. I admire her greatly. The pages of this book originally came from an 1896 publication called "Tatting and Netting." Since it is a republication, there are no diagrams, and the instructions for these traditional pieces are in old written notation that isn't broken down at all. I still think they're well worth the time and trouble. I love these old books, and I love that people like Ms. Foster and Ms. Kliot and Iva Rose Publications have worked to make a lot of these old gems available again.
