SUMMARY- This kit came with a basic illustrated tutorial of the slip-n-slide method, then moves on to show how to read a diagram and symbolic notation. You get two very simple edgings and two traditional medallions to practice with. The kit also included a nice Susan Bates shuttle, a ball of white DMC size 10 thread, a crochet hook, 2 sewing needles, and a #2 pencil with "Wishes for many blessings from Miss Losey" imprinted on it. I'm a fan of kits, and I like seeing how others teach the basics, to try and improve my own teaching technique. This is a very thoughtful and well put together kit that I think someone could learn the basics of tatting from. If you happen to run across one and have an interest in learning, I think you can buy it with confidence.
