SUMMARY- It's been almost a decade since her last book. She sticks to single-shuttle designs still, but instead of edgings, you get a really lovely collection of mignonette(bare thread) medallions. Mignonette simply means instead of chains, which would require a second shuttle, you have just the bare core thread instead. It gives a much more delicate look to the motifs because it Is more delicate. She switched from symbolic notation to diagrams, which makes her patterns a lot more internationally accessible! I was delighted to add this to my collection, as one-shuttle patterns are much harder to find, and a great selection all in one book is a treasure. She does not try to teach you tatting - she expects you to already know the basics. This is strictly a pattern book.
