SUMMARY- This book covers a lot of the basics that larger books do, without all the color photos and illustrations. It does have photos scattered throughout it, with a couple of color plates in the middle, but it is largely text, which doesn't bother me, but most people like a visual image to go with the instructions. The first chapter, which covers some of the folklore of candles, was what I bought the book for, and I still enjoy rereading it.
