PATTERN RATING:Star Rating. There are patterns for an octopus, fish, frog, dinosaur, bird, seal, mouse, jumping frog, hedgehog, and a flying bird. Patterns are very basic but not unengaging. There wasn't anything new to add to my repertoire here, but for a pamphlet length book, you get a lot for your money between hardcovers. Patterns have no seam allowances - or markings of any kind, and most have to be enlarged(the book is small), BUT...

INSTRUCTION RATING:Star Rating. The instructions are meticulous. They are broken down into easy steps and each step has its own illustration. Anyone could follow along to make these toys.

SUMMARY- While this isn't a book for more experienced crafters, it is a great book for someone who is just learning. I'm not happy about the lack of markings on the patterns, but the heavily illustrated instructions I believe makes up for that.
