Title: Mimi's EARTH ANGELS, Volume 1: 24 inch Cloth Doll with Basic Contemporary Clothing
Author: Gloria J. "Mimi" Winer
Publication Date: Spiralbound:1986
Publisher: Karres Planning Corp., Marietta, GA
Page Count: 207
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 11" x 8 1/2"
ISBN: 0-940207-01-X
PATTERN RATING: . Patterns are full-size, and well marked to aid the crafter. The entire book is geared to create a really nicely sculpted 24" doll. An added insert gives you the same patterns sized for a 17" doll.
INSTRUCTION RATING: . The sewing instructions really are picture-by-picture, as advertised. Despite the complexity of the doll, these instructions make putting it together easy. I was really impressed!
SUMMARY- There is excellent value in this book if you are looking to make a more modern-looking cloth doll. The needlesculpted facial features add a lot, and while the hand has two fingers attached to each other, it isn't appreciably noticeable in the photos.
