SUMMARY- This is a multi-discipline book - a survey of many of the techniques used to turn thread/yarns into finished textiles. Each chapter ends with a bibliography of further reading on the subject of that chapter. All of the photography(and there is plenty of it) is black-and-white, but it does not detract. Examples are well chosen and support the text. If you are looking for an overview of textile disciplines, this is a very useful and informative book.
