SUMMARY- JoAnne Fatherly designed a set of cross-stitch quilt blocks that included the shape of the state, the state's name, and the year it became a state. These blocks were designed to be done on gingham. The last two pages were black-and-white photo gallery of the quilts women had made from this pattern. These are reprints from the pages of "Popular Needlework".
All of Tower Press' publications were printed on extremely cheap newsprint paper, so pictures of samples are likely dark and hard to see detail. Still worth the price of admission. What Tower Press lacked in print quality, they more than made up for in providing creative, beautiful designs and projects.
