SUMMARY- Mrs. Eckhardt was a diversely talented needle artist who was chiefly known for her State Bird quilt block series, but also published many other patterns in Tower Press' pages, including stuffed toys. Only two of the birds were included in this collection, and none of the stuffed toys. These are reprints from the pages of "Popular Needlework".
All of Tower Press' publications were printed on extremely cheap newsprint paper, so pictures of samples are likely dark and hard to see detail. Still worth the price of admission. What Tower Press lacked in print quality, they more than made up for in providing creative, beautiful designs and projects.
