SUMMARY- She gives diagrams but no written instructions. Black-and-white photos do not show up as well as I'd like and are often smaller than the diagram(hard to discern details from photo). She is very creative covering different shaped forms, but the one I really like is one of the simplest, and it works off one of those big flower sequins with a hole punched in the center of each "petal" - you've probably seen the ones I'm talking about. I can't wait to go and see if I can still find some and try this out for my tree this year. I was really pleased to run across this small gem. It's the only book of hers I'm aware of at this time, but hope she is still tatting(and designing!)

EXTRA NOTES: Doretha Albee mentioned in the Sept. 1994 issue of her newsletter "Tatting Knots & Notes" that Carolyn is the designer who had her finger tattooed so she could make perfect picots without a gauge. I had heard rumors that some tatters did this, but this is the first instance someone actually mentioned a name, and I thought it was interesting enough to pass on to you...
