SUMMARY- You get both a diagram and written instructions. This set is different from her Snowfall series - she takes one basic pattern and shows you how you can change it for very different looks.
When I buy a PDF, I print it out on good paper, laminate the cover and back page, and comb bind them so I've got a physical copy to include in the library, and don't have to worry about losing track of the digital copy(or its degrading or becoming unreadable with time).
