SUMMARY- If you are interested in the history and development of tatting, this little booklet is a must have. There is a lot of fascinating information packed into its 32 pages, with black-and-white photos throughout. This is not a pattern book, but a history of the medium. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in knowing more about this artform. The whole Shire Album series is a phenomenon that must be experienced, really. It was a real feather for Pam Palmer to be picked to write this for the world's most ecclectic encyclopedia written as 32 page chapbooks.
You can see what else I have cataloged of the SHIRE ALBUM.
