SUMMARY- These little books were published for the sole purpose of encouraging women to buy more of their yarns. All the patterns are (very)thinly disquised ads for particular threads, of course. Putting out patterns to promote use of your threads was a common practice among the thread mills and continued deep into the 20th century.
