SUMMARY- Ms. Libin's work has a very unique look, and doesn't look like tatting because there are so many beads. Her work is beautiful and inspires lust to own a piece in everyone fortunate enough to examine it in person. Her notation is different from standard, but not difficult to pick up. Issues ##18-21 are planned as four parts of the same title and include instructions for needle as well as shuttle tatting. Here are more jewelry pieces- (5)five sets of earrings and two necklaces.
One of my guild members who is a great fan of Ms. Libin's work and has worked up many of her patterns warned me that there are mistakes in the written instructions, so before using a pattern, compare the instructions carefully to the sample before starting. I do not know if the reprinted booklets have the mistakes corrected or not. These booklets are probably not good for beginners, but easily something to aspire to if you love the look of beaded lace.
There are diagrams along with very well broken down written instructions, and black-and-white photos of the finished piece.
