SUMMARY- There is a YouTube channel to support this book at @kayejudt3953 that gives you videos to go with the lessons here. For those who don't know me personally, I am very hard on lesson books like this. I taught myself how to tat when I was sixteen from two tutorial books because I knew no tatters in the area I grew up in. It was a miserable year trying to figure out the "flip" without someone demonstrating it for me. Both of those books got an "F" from me when I started this website and set up to review tatting books for the first time. Those two books are about 75 years old now(they were old when I tried to learn from them).

So when I say this book gets an "A" from me, you will understand what high praise that really is. There are one or two others who get an "A", but they are rare. Her graphics are very clear and easy to see, her practice patterns are spot on for what you need to practice for that lesson, and she has support videos that are critical for those enlightening demonstrations that are really quite necessary for the imparting of that "Aha!" moment when the flip happens. Yes, I recommend this book for novice shuttle tatters.
