SUMMARY- Her Table of Contents were little postage stamp-sized pictures of 15 projects - which are small discrete motifs to be used as decoration or as tiles for larger pieces. I like Sumie's work - she is precise and always blocks her work to show it in its best light. Her motifs are small, neat and attractive. In this book, she gives a graphic demonstration on how adding decorative picots to a piece can completely change its appearance. Both versions have appeal. There's the usual great photography we've come to expect from Japanese craft books, and diagrams with the instructions. Instructions are all in Japanese, but diagrams can be read by anybody. She also gives photo tutorials for each piece as well as a photo tutorial of the basics. This is a great book for beginners who can read Japanese, and a good book for anyone who likes the reward of small motifs and can read diagrams. My favorite is the "Angel Wing" earrings
