Title: New Tatting: modern lace motifs and projects
Author/Designer: Tomoko Morimoto
Format/Publication Date: TPB:2012
Publisher: Interweave Press, Loveland, CO
Page Count: 128
Book Dimensions(ht. x w.): 10 1/4" x 8 1/4"
ISBN: 9781596687455
SUMMARY- Mrs. Morimoto is the daughter of the famous Japanese tatter Teiko Fujito. Patterns are diagrammed, not written out. You get lovely photography throughout. A lot of the designs are basic, but well executed and used.
She spends a lot of time(and pages) taking the crafter through the basics with great illustrations and photographs. This would be a useful book for a beginner, and has enough advanced patterns to be interesting to a more experienced tatter.
This is an English language translation of Ms. Morimoto's first book Sutekina Tatting Lace 3 Step de kokomade dekiru...with lots of extra tutorial added. Patterns are not presented in the
same order.
