SUMMARY- There is so much in this book that I had to pull the first two and see if this wasn't a combined reprint of both of them - it's not. Her first book focuses on simple motifs and using them as tiles to build larger fabrics. Her second book has more sophisticated motifs, clothing, and 3D effects. In this third book, wow. It's clear that she's not just sitting on her laurels - she continues to evolve as a designer and impress with the beauty of her designs! I cannot wait to see what she does next. The Japanese designers use modern diagramming for their patterns, so if you already know what you're doing, you get a lot of lovely bang for your buck(and Japanese imports are a very pricey habit to have). Hiromi Imaizumi is so worth it, though. She is a needle tatter, and her designs and instructions reflect this. However, experienced tatters won't have a problem. As Patty Dowden famously said, "The knot does not care how it is made."
