SUMMARY- Most of these patterns ended up in the Dover Reprint along with the 1982 first edition of this title. This is the book where she introduces cluny leaves to her tatting patterns. I love the inclusion. Patterns are in written notation that was the standard of the time. Her patterns are not broken down, so in my Dover edition, I've got lots of sticky notes with the patterns broken down so I don't get lost in the directions. I've made tons of her ornaments over the years as Christmas gifts - it's one of my go-to books. Some of the patterns can be difficult, like the cluny or dimpled rings, but they are worth the extra effort. This booklet also had two patterns in the back by her friend Alison Addicks. I'm really happy Anitra gave me the opportunity to take a look at these hard-to-find first editions!
Judith Connor's biographic essay at Craftree. There is a lovely photograph included!
And Teri Dusenbury dedicated a page to her friend.
