SUMMARY- I found this book among an estate lot of tatting books and Tatsy kits. It has a Beggar's Lace sticker on it. This shop stickered all the books it sold, which historians find most helpful in tracking the distribution of books. Beggar's Lace appears to have distributed quite a few self-published books that I've seen no other copies of. I don't know if this is relevant, as my sample pool is relatively small. The patterns are quite accessible for a beginner - and in Mrs. Fuller's introduction, she states she began designing so she would have patterns for her students to practice on. She is a self-taught tatter and uses the shuttle. She is a second generation tatter as well, but didn't learn the skill from her grandmother before she passed away.

The book is a convenient half-size with well broken down instructions and photos that let you see every stitch. You get a nice variety of patterns - I especially like Mr. Gobble and Sunrise,Sunset. This would be a great book to hand to a beginner if it were still available. She was a member of the Rocky Mountain Lace Guild.
