SUMMARY- Here is Ben's basic instruction book for beginners. It is written in Dutch, has lots of illustrations. Book is all black-and-white, with diagrams and symbolic notation for the doily patterns in the back of the book. These patterns are reprinted in his other two books. If you don't have either of his other books, get thee to a retailer. He is an amazing designer who is not stingy with the number of patterns or degree of sophistication he offers. I bought this one directly from Mr. Fikkert, and he tried to talk me out of it by warning me the patterns were in his other books - but then I wouldn't have been able to present this review and another chance to rave about his other two books.
