SUMMARY- Normaly tatted hearts leave me a little bored. It is such a common symbol and is a repeated motif everywhere you look in any craft magazine you would care to pick up. Now that you know my prejudice please let me say how blown away I was by these designs! "Your Grape Big Heart" especially appealed to me, but the "Daisies & Forsythia", "Flower Bouquet Heart"(on cover) and "Freeform Heart" are also stunning. I'm a huge fan of Ms. Ess's block tatted animal motifs, so I decided to go ahead and track down the rest of her books - so glad I did. When and if I ever need a heart, THIS is the book I'll use.
Patterns are diagrammed and instructions are well broken down and easy to follow. There are some advanced techniques involved, so not good for a beginner - but definitely worth aspiring too.
