SUMMARY- You can definitely tell this book came to us from the '70's, with the bright colors and flashy styles. You get a great guided tour of quite a few disciplines, with beginning instructions and lots of lavish illustration and photos to encourage you. There aren't a lot of tatting patterns, but the small assortment you do get are suitable for a beginner. You get written notation, and no diagrams. I found this book fun to browse through, and despite the datedness of the patterns, saw things I would like to try(and use). I like this book and was glad to finally add it to my library.
