SUMMARY- I've only seen most of these books as reproductions - the original booklets are extremely rare, but worth pursuing if you like traditional tatting. I have an original print of this one now. The pictures are black-and-white and not designed to help the tatter figure out the pattern. The instructions are very hard to read they are such small print. But the patterns are attractive. Only four(4) of the designs in this book are for tatters, but they are attractive.
Mrs. Brown was a regular contributor to "Modern Priscilla", a women's magazine that ran from 1888 to 1930. She contributed many patterns to its pages - mostly crochet.
