SUMMARY- Except for this one, I've only ever seen this series of books as reproductions - the booklets are extremely rare, but worth pursuing if you like traditional tatting. The pictures are black-and-white and not designed to help the tatter figure out the pattern. The instructions are very hard to read they are such small print. But the patterns are attractive. I especially loved the candle holder and candle shade.
Mrs. Brown was a regular contributor to "Modern Priscilla", a women's magazine that ran from 1888 to 1930. She contributed many patterns to its pages - mostly crochet.
