SUMMARY- You get 23 motifs. Colored Diagrams are used instead of written patterns, and are well laid out and easy to follow. The color in the diagrams lets you know where the split rings split, and the rings are numbered so you know where to start and can easily see where you are going - I don't think you can get better than that! Having just finished making all the motifs in another book that is diagrams only, but with no color coding or care in the layout, I can doubly appreciate the thought and care that went into the preparation of this book. I resisted trying split rings for a very long time, but when I did finally try them, discovered I'd really been missing out on a very useful technique that is both versatile and not any more difficult than making a mock ring. Karen has eight books out now, as of this writing, all having to do with using split rings to make pixilated fabric. I love visual illusions, so here's another book that has me very excited to give a try.
