SUMMARY- I counted about 26 patterns incorporating an encapsulated thread in the split ring in order to be able to cast off rings where needed.. The theme this time being the very powerful Greek Key design. Colored Diagrams are used instead of written patterns, and are well laid out and easy to follow. The color in the diagrams lets you know where the split rings split, and the rings are numbered so you know where to start and can easily see where you are going - I don't think you can get better than that! Because you are working with multiple colors of thread, these designs are by nature more complex and will require focus on your part. I'm always amazed by Karen's talent, and I think this one is her most ambitious yet. If you haven't mastered split ring yet, I'd start with one of her other books first to get the technique - she'll give you plenty of practice - then tackle this one. I was really happy to add this one to my library.
