SUMMARY- The chapter on (needle)tatting is short and very basic, but gives great up close color photos of the process of making the double stitch. There are a few really basic edging patterns and a necklace made around buttons. I wouldn't buy this book just for the tatting chapter, but there is a lot of charming projects and basic lessons in this book as well as a peek into how our grandmothers typically did things out on the farm. I grew up on a farm, so it all sounds very familiar to me and nostalgic. I enjoyed reading the book - her style of writing is engaging and entertaining.
