SUMMARY- There are a lot of beautiful designs packed into this issue, if you're multi-disciplined, but there are only six(6) tatting patterns.
The written text is all in German, so if you don't have a facility with that language, the written instructions won't help you. The patterns, on the other hand, are all neatly diagrammed on a large foldout sheet of cheap newsprint(I'd make clean photocopies of all the diagrams to tuck into the book as well, if you are fortunate enough to have a copy of this, so that future owners of the book have a shot at having the diagrams too...). Diagrams, of course, can be internationally understood. This book was well ahead of the rise in popularity of diagramming to reach an international audience. It sticks to fairly traditional fare, but I found the designs very appealing and well presented, with color photography throughout.
Tatting Patterns include: Two-color edging(with corner) for a table mat, and napkin ring, a deeply scalloped edging for a round linen doily, two(2) handkerchief
edgings, and a strip design for any size mat, runner, or tablecloth you want.
