SUMMARY- This is laid out to feel like a notebook, with handwritten sections, rough sketches and diagrams, and lots of anecdotes and tidbits of instruction. She gives a lovely table giving variations using mignonette. If you don't know what mignonette is, it's where measured lengths of bare thread are left between rings, creating a net effect. The closest likeness is hairpin lace. It's a distinctive technique in the tatting arsenal and often overlooked. I was happy to add this book to my library.
