SUMMARY- The pompon toys are nicely shaped, and I can imagine a very small child cuddling with any of the crocheted toys. The dolls are very dated, and the "Natives" are a bit offensive. It is interesting how our views of such things evolve over time. At the time of its publication, similar dolls were just considered cute and charming by the generally white American public. I'd be very interested to know how our "colored" population viewed them at that time. We ARE changing - just very very slowly.
