SUMMARY- All interior photographs are black-and-white, but I don't think that's particularly important in this case. You get a brief history of the development, and explanation of the mechanics, and an overview of the development of these important visual aids.
I love that they always give you a list of further reading and places you can visit to help satisfy your curiosity on the subject. If I were ever able to take a real vacation, I would do it with a handful of these books in hand!
