SUMMARY- This book has a great gallery and takes the time to give you some background on the antiques, and evaluation of the style it was done in and discusses the materials used - an enjoyable read. Going over the elements of design is useful, and the sewing instructions are fairly basic and clear, though not as extensive as some of the other "How To" books I've read on the subject. I wouldn't start with this book, but if you're new (like me) there's a lot of interesting information worth delving into.
