SUMMARY- I can't think of a better way to get your toes wet trying out piecing and applique to see if you enjoy them. The applique designs are extremely appealing - all of them - and not just the ones on the cover. They give you a fair sampling of what's inside. It is chock full of good advice, clear instructions and fun patterns. The patterns are all on a large folded sheet stapled into the center of the book. This wasn't originally part of my mother's book collection. I ran across an ad for it in "Quilter's World" and decided to order it - I'm happy I did.
